Whakatāne District Council wishes to install approximately 936 m of 250mm PE100 SDR13.6 and SDR11 watermain to serve a proposed subdivision at Shaw Road, Whakatāne.
The main elements of the Contract Works include but are not limited to:
 Establishment on Site;
 Service location and identification including potholing at the outset of the project.
 Implementation of Quality Assurance and Control;
 Environmental Management of the Site throughout the control period;
 Traffic Management and Maintenance of Traffic and Pedestrian access throughout the Site during construction period;
 Trench excavation and barricading;
 Supply and installation of approximately 936 m of 250 mm OD PE100 SDR13.6 pipe (SDR11 where drilled) in the roadside berm from Mill Road to Shaw Road via SH30;
 Directional drilled crossings under Mill Road, SH30 and Shaw Road;
 Supply and installation of a 27m 200NB SS 316 SCH 10 pipe crossing on the SH30 Kopeopeo Canal Bridge;
 Supply and installation of associated air valves (3 No.), gate valves (3 No.) and hydrants (6 No.) along the route;
 Disinfection, Testing and commissioning of the works;
 Reinstatement of road seal, road markings, vehicle crossings, footpath and kerb and channel where required.
