Tenders are invited from suitably qualified contractors for the provision of structural maintenance services for the Whakatāne District Council Bridges and Structures. This contract is a fixed term contract.
The work involved in this contract includes, but is not limited to, the following items of maintenance and renewal activities:
• Bridge Bearings
• Wheel guards and kerbing
• Hand or guardrails, including painting
• Painting of concrete and timber surfaces
• Bridge substructure cleaning, including repair and painting of steelwork
• Bridge Deck joints
• Concrete bridge components, including patch repair and crack injection work
• Associated bridge structures including Gabions, timber and concrete retaining walls and other miscellaneous retaining structures
• Scour protection works including rip rap and cement sand bags installation
