The University of Canterbury’s Student Accommodation Strategy 2017-2026 (The Strategy) identifies a demand for an additional 800 beds by 2026 if the University achieves its forecast growth in expected (equivalent) full-time students (EFTS) and the uptake of University-provided accommodation remains around 17% of EFTS.
Subject to a successful outcome from this ITPD and subsequent RFP process, the University wishes to establish a long term relationship with a partner to deliver the full suite of Strategy requirements. This partner will bring strong knowledge of and experience in delivering the attributes which will contribute to successful and appealing student accommodation.
This Invitation to Participate in Competitive Dialogue (ITPD) is the first step in a multi-step procurement process by the University of Canterbury (University) for the selection of a private development partner for the new University Student Accommodation Facility in Christchurch.
To assist prospective participants to decide if this is an opportunity of interest to them, the University will offer informal one to one discussion through which the nature of the requirements can be clarified. Respondents will then be asked to return an Acknowledgement Form indicating if they intend to participate in the ITPD.
