There is increasing interest in taking a more strategic, system wide approach to the design and application of government fees and levies. However, this is currently constrained by the absence of consolidated, cross agency information. There is no comprehensive view of the number, scale, or characteristics of existing fee and levy regimes, nor of their cumulative impact on government revenue or the wider economy. This lack of visibility limits the Treasury’s ability to provide strategic advice, prioritise reform efforts, and identify high value opportunities for efficiency gains and improved use of fees and levies across the system.
This tender opportunity is being directed to a select group of potential suppliers, and the requirements will be in accordance with the parameters set out in Part A of the attached Consultancy Services Order.
Supplier briefing
We would like to invite all suppliers to attend a 45-minute online briefing on the tender on Wednesday, 18 March at 9am. Ahead of the session, we invite suppliers to submit any queries, which we will address during the briefing. The meeting will consist of:
• A 15-minute presentation by the Treasury on the project’s scope and objectives
• 10 minutes responding to all submitted queries
• 20 minutes of further Q&A and clarifications, if necessary
