The purpose of this Advance Notice is to inform suppliers of the upcoming release of a tender for the construction of the new Te Maunga Resource Recovery Park Redevelopment project.

The new facilities will be constructed inside the existing Waste Transfer Station at Te Maunga and will include:

- General waste sorting facility building
- New office block and community education space
- New recycling area, recycling lanes and additional storage sheds
- Staff amenity block
- New commercial weight bridges
- New green waste facility
- Civil works including earthworks, three waters and surfacing

When concluded the waste transfer station will divert an additional 25,000T of waste per year from landfill.

This is a two stages process.

Registration of Interest anticipated to be released in early-December 2022 - on TenderLink www.tenderlink.com/tauranga

Request for Tender anticipated to be released in February 2023.

Project Commencement: June 2023

Project Completion: December 2025
