Queenstown Lakes District Council (QLDC) will soon be releasing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for all of our solid waste contracts which are due to expire on 30 June 2019. The RFP will exclude the current landfill contract which expires 2029.
The availability and quality of waste services is extremely important to QLDC. We want to engage with the market early to help inform our RFP and reduce uncertainty for potential suppliers regarding what QLDC is seeking to achieve.
Our intention is to consolidate our waste services into one contract, subject to confirmation from Council regarding the number of contracts to be let. It is also our intention to retain and enhance local knowledge by encouraging collaboration through joint tender submissions which clearly demonstrate these attributes.
