This procurement relates to the renovation of Ngati Toa Hall.
Weather tightness issues were identified during a building condition audit.
The lower roofing section and the window joinery were found to be the issue.
Unfortunately the hall is clad in asbestos and will need to be removed to carry out the weather tightness issues.
With the extent of this work Council believes it is best to also upgrade the remaining roofing, fire system and the NBS rating.
