The NZ Transport Agency invites Tenders from experienced Suppliers wishing to tender for the Traffic Counting contract for Northland.
The works will be carried out under the NZTA’s traditional ‘Measure and Value’ contract.
The scope of works includes traffic counting using approximately 64 traffic counting stations in Northland:
• 54 are dual loop sites which will require a “7-day count” including classification four times a year
• 10 are continuously monitored telemetry sites which require data to be downloaded by the consultant at least weekly
In addition there are 4 national telemetry sites managed by others.
The scope of work includes the maintenance, monitoring and reporting of these dual loop and continuously monitored counting sites using static loops, together with the movement of a number of mobile units through semi-permanent sites using piezo tube systems or existing static loops to fill in gaps in the strategic grid.
The contract is for a 3 yr base period with two rights of renewal of 2 yr each, subject to satisfactory performance.
