Overview

New Zealand Post is embarking on a programme of modernising its sorting capabilities across New Zealand and this includes the commissioning of new mechanised facilities to be implemented over the coming years. This RFP relates to the delivery of a small packet sorter to be located the Auckland Mail Centre.

Whilst mail volumes have been declining, parcel and packet volumes are growing, and New Zealand Post is seeking reliable, efficient, accurate and cost effective solutions to meet this growth and to satisfy customer expectations.

If your organisation wishes to participate, please provide a Response as directed in Section 3 of the RFP document.

It is important that Responses are supported with clear evidence of how your organisation’s experience and capability would benefit New Zealand Post, including information about the possible service offerings and emerging technology you can deliver, and (if applicable) your consideration of the advantages and disadvantages of possible alternative solutions and services presented. This information will be considered as part of the RFP process, and may help inform our thinking in assessing the best way forward.

This RFP process is to ensure that New Zealand Post has enough information, both financial and operational, to submit a business case to the New Zealand Post Board for funding approval to enter into contract negotiations with a Preferred Supplier.
