Babcock (NZ) Ltd (Babcock) requires an assessment of the current HVAC system installed on the Royal New Zealand Navy’s (RNZN) Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPV) and the supporting information to develop a solution to the humidity deficiencies that have been identified in the OPV HVAC Deficiencies Investigation report (attached).
Babcock is seeking proposals from suppliers, without prejudice or commitment, to provide a technical solution and a cost to undertake detailed design. There are two options identified in this proposal, firstly for a fully designed solution only, and secondly for the fully designed solution and installation as identified in Section 2 of this RFP. Installation would be done either by Babcock, or by the successful contractor, at the Devonport Naval Base during a Ship maintenance period which will be managed by Babcock.
