The New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) has a need to replace its existing Indirect Fire simulator with a system that also enables simulated Close Air Support Training.
The simulation system requires specific capabilities enabling:
1. Visual Effects -Effects that accurately replicate known Surface based call for fire, including land and naval based assets, and Close Air Support (CAS) requests.
2. Terrain - Worldwide terrain modelling solutions that provide accurate representation of computer generated man made and natural structures.
3. Connectivity - Distributed connectivity capabilities enabling the connection between multiple systems for mission rehearsal.
4. Equipment - Integrated third party equipment that replicates the effects of equipment operated in the field environment.
NZDF seeks to engage with vendors who have a background in delivering proven systems of the capabilities listed above.
At this stage, this RFI seeks to gain an insight of available capabilities that are able to provide the full range of requirements in order to enable individual and mission rehearsal training with a number of comparable organisations to improve the mission readiness of NZDF Indirect Fires and CAS trained personnel.
For purposes of informing the Project Business Case indicative pricing for the systems is also requested.
