The New Zealand Defence Force is calling for registrations from suitably qualified and experienced organisations interested in performing maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services on existing and future NZDF aircraft.
Registrants will be invited to participate in supplier briefing sessions in the New Year, currently anticipated to be February and March. These sessions may take the form of direct meetings with NZDF or a broader briefing presentation to multiple organisations. NZDF will accommodate briefings or meetings in both Wellington and Auckland, and will consider use of video technology if required.
Registrations to participate in the supplier briefing must be received no later than 5pm, 19 January 2017. Registering before the closing date is necessary in order to receive an invitation to participate.
Specifically, NZDF wishes to hear from organisations interested in acting as a prime MRO service provider for current and future aircraft. Information about NZDF’s current aircraft can be found on the RNZAF website: www.airforce.mil.nz
When registering, you must:
• Provide contact details for at least two company representatives
• Confirm your interest in acting as a prime MRO service provider for one or more types of aircraft
• State which national aviation authorities your organisation is currently certified through, and what certifications you hold (if any)
• State what OEM certifications you currently hold for NZDF aircraft or significant components, (if any)
• Identify if video conference / web stream would be required to participate
This information will be used to inform NZDF as to the level of interest and competition in the market, and to support preparation and planning for supplier briefing sessions. Registrations will not be comparatively evaluated and this registration and briefing process is not part of a formal tendering activity.
Supplier briefings were originally intended to occur within 2016. These will not now occur until early 2017. Any inconvenience through this minor delay is regretted.
