The purpose of this RFP is to receive Proposals for the delivery of the RFP Outcomes as set out in Appendix 2 – Requirements.

The purpose of this contract is too manage the facilities at Saxton Field, to provide sporting and recreational opportunities to residents and visitors to Nelson.

Nelson’s overall leisure and recreation aspirations represent the Council’s long-term desire to maximise opportunities within the City that:

(d) Maximises the operational life of the assets concerned

Nelson City Council has the following objectives which it will deliver, in part, through implementation of this contract:

(e) To promote and develop the use of Council facilities
(f) To continuously improve the leisure and recreation opportunities we provide to our residents

The facilities in this contract, Saxton Stadium, Saxton Pavilion and Saxton Oval are situated in Saxton Field Stoke, in the southern suburb of Nelson.

Saxton Field is a jointly owned and funded regional sport and recreation facility benefiting the residents of Nelson and Tasman District.
