The Nelson Arts Festival is the annual arts festival of the Nelson/Tasman region.

The mission of the Arts Festival is to present a quality, professional and sustainable arts festival that entertains, educates and inspires our community, promotes our region and engages with our wider audience.

As part of the Nelson Arts Festival, the Readers and Writers Programme is a series of events that presents the best national writers and occasional international guests.

A variety of literary genres and authors is invited to present/introduce their works to the Nelson Arts Festival’s audience, in solo sessions and on panels.

The Readers and Writers programme is very popular and contributes to the festival’s reputation of a high standard literary and arts programme.

The objectives are to select a contractor to take on the role of the Event Coordinator of the Readers and Writers Programme in the Nelson Arts Festival 2017.
