Overview
The School of Natural Sciences requires a 400 MHz Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Spectrometer to replace the current 400 MHz NMR Spectrometer and to complement the existing NMR Spectrometer facilities on its Palmerston North campus, which include 400, 500 and 700 MHz spectrometers.
The major applications of NMR spectroscopy at Massey are in the areas of chemical synthesis, structural biology, metabolic profiling and solid-state NMR of food and biological materials.
