Massey University is seeking tenders from suitably qualified contractors to carry out alterations and refurbishment work to our Social Science Tower building, (SST) on our Turitea Campus in Palmerston North.

Although each floor will be vacant during construction, the remainder of the building will be occupied. Hence particular care must be given to ensuring the safe movement of people in and out of the building and up and down the building via the lifts and stairs. Some noisy activities may also have to be done outside normal working hours depending on the time of year. Exam time from late October to mid-November is particularly important in this respect.

Work has recently been completed on levels 1, 6, 7 and 8. This work package will see levels 2 and 3 upgraded consecutively to create new space for the School of People, Environment and Planning. Each floor will be one separable portion and must be completely finished before the next floor starts.
