This RFP is issued by the Ministry of Social Development on behalf of Whaikaha | Ministry of Disabled People.
We are seeking suppliers to provide four emergency respite care beds in the Northern Region for those with complex needs requiring residential care needing an urgent placement. The provision of these extra beds will provide time and support to transition people to other mainstream or more independent support options, or to a suitable community support option that allows for a return home to whanau. This opportunity aims to identify and contract with suitable providers who demonstrate the capability and capacity to successfully and rapidly setup, manage and operate an Emergency Respite Service within the Northern Region and ensure that wrap around support is available to people supported in these beds.
The Northern Region (includes BoP, Greater Auckland, Waikato, Northland). Two beds are required in Auckland and two beds in Waikato to support all four NASC regions.
