Overall Objective:

To assess the growth rate and ecology of selected pāua populations important to tangata whenua in the Bay of Plenty.


Specific Objectives:

1. To characterise the historical changes in growth rate and spawning of selected pāua populations important to tangata whenua in the Bay of Plenty.
2. To assess the current growth rate of selected pāua populations important to tangata whenua in the Bay of Plenty.
3. To estimate the length at maturity for selected pāua populations important to tangata whenua in the Bay of Plenty.
4. To assess the size distribution and relative abundance of pāua for selected pāua populations important to tangata whenua in the Bay of Plenty.
