The industrial hemp sector has been an emerging part in the primary sector for some years, however the growth potential of the industry is unclear. The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) want collated evidence on the true market opportunities in the food, seeds and fibre markets for industrial hemp and understand the New Zealand niche in the global market. We also seek a clear picture on what the barriers are to export revenue growth in this sector.
