To provide review services and comparative analysis of the various data collected from the 2018/19 trial of electronic monitoring in the FMA1 bottom longline fisheries.

Commercial fishers and quota owners, together with the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI), the Department of Conservation (DOC), and the Black Petrel Working Group (BPWG) have continued the develop electronic monitoring (EM) of seabird captures in a proof of concept project in 2018/19, a continuation of the work undertaken in 2016/17 and 2017/18.
