The Biological Emissions Reference Group (BERG), comprised of government and industry members, has been established to collaboratively build a robust and agreed evidence base on what the agricultural sector can do on-farm to reduce emissions, now and in the future, and to assess the costs and opportunities of doing so.

This project seeks to assess the costs and barriers associated with the implementation of different regulatory options available to mitigate biological emissions from agriculture. BERG has suggested scenarios which could be assessed. These represent different points across the spectrum of non-regulatory and regulatory options.
