This Notice of Information informs suppliers that the Ministry of Health (the Ministry) is intending to release a Request for Proposal (RFP) on GETS in late February or early March 2017 for a National Sudden Unexpected Death in Infancy (SUDI) Prevention Coordination Service to support the Ministry to reduce the incidence of SUDI.

This Notice provides an overview of the Ministry's expectations for the service in order to support supplier planning ahead of the RFP release.

The Ministry is looking to improve the quality, availability and consistency of SUDI Prevention activities.

The Ministry will be looking for a provider to deliver a national coordination service that will support District Health Boards and the Ministry to ensure that regional initiatives are effective and consistent with best practice. We are looking for a provider who will provide a national coordination service that will help us to improve the quality and consistency of the National SUDI Prevention Programme.

Please note that we request that all interested parties inform the Ministry of their intention to respond to any subsequent RFP by Monday 27th February 2017.
