Overview
MIT is looking to deliver/receive a single network management environment improving transparency, enabling faster and more accurate troubleshooting and providing a single view of the enterprise network environment at both a total service level, a performance and throughput level (what and when) and the ability to view at a campus or building level and at an individual component level. It should also enable MIT to measure all network traffic, wired, wireless, applications and internet at a user level and service level (voice versus data versus video) to ensure traffic priority is managed. Reporting service availability currently is based on historical data at enterprise wide basis.
