The New Zealand Government has partnered with the Government of Fiji, to recruit a senior level Organisational Design Specialist to work with the Fiji Ministry of Agriculture. The key objective of this role is to identify and advise Senior Management of the Fiji Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) on the development of an appropriate organisational structure and a change management plan that aligns with the Governments priority to maintain an effective and accountable public sector which aims to produce a high performing civil service that implements government priorities and is responsive to deliver quality services to the public.

The key Functions are to:
• Work with the Ministry of Agriculture Senior Management to develop an appropriate organisational structure that will facilitate efficient and effective delivery of Ministry of Agriculture services to all stakeholders.
• To ensure any proposed changes to the existing organisational structure have the best chance of being implemented, all key functions will need to be undertaken in a way that facilitates ownership amongst Ministry of Agriculture Senior Management and key staff.
• Prepare a comprehensive change management plan including a risk assessment, communication strategy and road map of key implementation steps and timelines to guide the implementation of the new structure
• Support the Ministry’s Human Resource team to prepare job descriptions and appropriate documentation for senior management roles, and that such document will be suitable for Job Evaluations through the approved Job Evaluation methodology.
• Provide ad hoc advice and support to the Permanent Secretary and the HR team in addressing change management issues arising during the implementation of the new structure.
