Auckland Normal Intermediate experienced a serious fire on the 23rd January 2019 that has badly damaged the hall and several classrooms.
While the school is currently utilizing the neighboring Teachers Training College, there is now a requirement to purchase and install four new classrooms and one toilet block at the school as soon as possible.
