The 2 classrooms located in Block B are old dated relocatable Classrooms, that require modernisation.
Block F is an old building acquired by the school many years ago, that is currently used as the school Library and requires modernisation to become a central Technology Hub.
Block H Room 3 and Block A Classrooms require some minor upgrade modifications.
The ILE upgrade of the 2 Block B classroom (Rooms 4 & 5) will involve the reconfiguration of the resource room located between the two classrooms to create a smaller resource area and a shared breakout space with visibility from each of the classrooms into the breakout area. A shared learning deck will also be constructed off the shared breakout area and Room 5 that can be utilised by both classes. Each room will be insulated where required with new wall linings, new carpet and Autex to the walls, a new acoustic ceiling with LED lighting, new heat-pumps (if required), and upgrading of the window joinery to new double glazed aluminium joinery.
The F Block ILE upgrade will involve stripping out and removing the old toilet fittings and fixtures located to the south western corner of the block and creating two break out spaces off the main room while retaining the existing kitchen for use during food technology. The intention of this ILE upgrade is to repurpose the library into a central Technology Hub, where students can work as a class or in small groups for lessons related to any aspect of the technology curriculum. Other works will include the replacement of the floor coverings and single glazed window joinery with new double-glazed aluminium in addition to an upgrade of the lighting to LED’s.
The work to be undertaken in the 2 A Block classrooms will be to just replace the old original single glazed window joinery with new double-glazed aluminium and upgrade the lighting to LED’s. This project will also include replacing the old wooden exit doors with aluminium and glass equivalents.
