History of the project: The Ministry of Education has assessed under the School Property Guide that Karetu School has been allocated funding to construct a multipurpose room.
The project consists of constructing a new multipurpose building over a steep site. The new proposed building is to be attached to an existing classroom, and will have the ability to be opened up into the adjacent space. The buildings layout consists of a multipurpose space, and office/store room, art space and a self-contained toilet. There are two narrow access points to the site, potentially restricting access for large heavy machinery.
It is anticipated that construction will begin approximately from December 2017, and conclude in March 2018. The foundations for the building are to be constructed and completed during the December school holidays. The building is to be closed in prior to the start of term 1 2018. Interior works may continue during the term however, strict health and safety processes and procedures are to be set, and any unsupervised contact/access with students is to be managed.
The Buyer requires services from a suitably qualified main building contractor to undertake the construction of the new multipurpose room (SPG Project). The Respondent is required to have immediate availability and the capacity within their current workload to complete the deliverables as outlined. The Respondent should have the resources to undertake the scope outlined and the ability to provide additional resources if the original scope was to alter.
