The Board of Trustees is seeking a main building contractor to action the ILE Refurbishment Block 1 at Upper Hutt Primary School.

Block 1 at Upper Hutt Primary School is a 1909 vintage building that has had a number of alterations over the years but by and large retains its original structural base. The roof is a complex form with historic leak issues which require to be resolved.

The project sets out to strip out the interior including the toilets, remove windows and interior walls.

A new plan layout will be provided including new structural elements, walls, windows and doors etc to develop flexible teaching spaces.

The scheme will be traditionally executed with a full design team employed by the School Board of Trustees producing full construction documentation.
