The purpose of this project is Stage 1 of the construction of a new Technology Block for the Board of Trustees of Katikati College.
The demolition & removal of the existing Technology Block will be completed by others prior to the new construction commencing.
The objective is to build a new fit for purpose and future proof Technology Block. The project will take place over two stages - the initial stage being the removal of the existing Wood, Metal and Graphics block (completed by others) and the building of a new block to provide for these technologies.
The new block will include multi purpose teaching spaces for the inclusion of fabric and design.
Stage 1 of the project will be approximately 420m square and will make provision for purpose built areas for the delivery of Wood and Metal Technology as well as general purpose and open plan spaces for the delivery of Design and Fabric. Teacher work space and storage also need to be an integral part of the building design.
