Marton School Board of Trustees has gained Ministry of Education (the Ministry) agreement to establish a licensed Early Childhood Education (ECE) service in a surplus, multipurpose building on the school site.
The ECE service will be licensed for a minimum of 25 licensed child places and include the provision for under 2 year olds.
To ensure a transparent selection process, the Ministry and Marton School Board of Trustees are approaching the open market to select an appropriate ECE service provider.
The building requires renovations to meet the Education (Early Childhood) Regulations 2008. An appropriate outdoor space will be included. It is expected that the costs of the renovations, including the fencing and installation of the outdoor area, will be met by the successful provider.
