Overview

We are looking to form a pool of suitably qualified resource management professionals who have the capability, experience and availability to undertake the required assessments of presenters/facilitators for Making Good Decision (MGD) certification. Having a pool of suppliers with the required capability and capacity will ensure that the Ministry has suitably qualified individuals to draw on as and when assessments are required.

Each assessment is conducted by a panel (usually consisting of two people); the Ministry for the Environment (the Ministry) will select the individuals to form each panel from the pool that is being put together through this Registration of Interest. The panel will assess whether presenters/facilitators of the MGD course possess the competencies required for MGD certification (Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA) commissioner certification).
What’s important to us.

The Ministry is looking for suitably qualified individuals who have the capability, experience and availability to undertake the required assessments as part of a panel as and when required. Individuals must have at least 10 years’ experience in a resource management profession, with adequate experience as a hearings commissioner. They also need to have current MGD certification, ideally with chairing endorsement.
