MBIE requires a new mobile app to be developed and deployed by mid June 2015. The purpose of the app is to make regional information easily accessible to users in attractive, easy to navigate format.
The app must
• Allow users to select their region of interest
• Present headline figures on the region (at either Regional Council or Territorial Authority level)
• Allow users to see more information on key variables in charts that may be interactive and dynamic
• Provide users with the ability to compare their region’s data to New Zealand’s and maybe other regions as well
• Be extensible to allow use for up to five years
