Overview

MBIE is going to market for an Occupational Licensing Regimes Common Platform solution. The project has been initiated to address the problem we have with multiple licensing regimes operating on discrete platforms. Our objective is to create a new multi-tenanted platform for occupational licensing regimes, and on-board three foundation regimes within the project. The three regimes selected as foundation regimes to on-board during the project are Motor Vehicle Traders Register (MVTR), Auctioneers and Licensed Building Practitioners (LBP). These three regimes vary in complexity, size and business processes.

We will conduct a briefing/workshop to provide some high level information to vendors about the project and what we are looking for in terms of a solution. A public briefing session will take place on Thursday 14th July from 1.00 – 2.30pm at MBIE premises at 15 Stout Street, Wellington. We would like to invite all those interested in hearing more about the project with a view to responding to the RFP to attend. Please notify Heather Nysse at Heather.Nysse2@mbie.govt.nz to advise of your attendance.

The briefing will allow time for potential vendors to discuss possible solutions with the MBIE representatives. Depending on the level of interest, MBIE may also offer potential vendors a one hour one-on-one session with the MBIE team to discuss their proposed solution. That session should inform a potential vendor’s assessment of whether their proposed solution is suitable for MBIE, without having to incur the full cost of submitting a proposal.
