Review of Government Model Templates
New Zealand Government Procurement has developed a suite of model contract and tender templates (see www.procurement.govt.nz) to create consistency and raise the standard of procurement practice across government, and to make it easier to do business with government.

We are currently reviewing the suite of government model templates to find out if the templates are meeting their objectives, and seek feedback on what is working well and any improvements that should be made.

Businesses and Government invited to provide feedback
Feedback from businesses and government agencies will be used to finalise the tender templates and to make any critical updates to the contract templates.

We are particularly interested to hear from:
• businesses on how government agencies are using the templates and if the templates have made it easier for businesses to engage with government.
• government agencies on issues they may face in making use of the templates.

Government agencies should use this feedback process as an opportunity to identify what could be improved to ensure the templates meet their needs. This is especially important for government agencies that are required to operationalise the templates under the Government Rules of Sourcing.

Email procurement@mbie.govt.nz if you would like to provide feedback on the model contract and tender templates. Clearly identify if you are a government agency or a business/ supplier to government so that we can send you the appropriate set of questions.
The deadline for submission of feedback is midday 18 December 2015.
