Overview

Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) is seeking Registrations of Interest (ROI) from specialist contractors who have experience in the excavation and the construction of reinforced retaining slopes in complex and challenging geological environments. Contractors are required to have demonstrable experience and a developed methodology in similar projects with a proven history of successfully completed projects desirable.

The project, a jointly-funded undertaking between LINZ and the Christchurch City Council, is the reinstatement of a demolished retaining wall and driveway easement between 32 and 32a Kinsey Terrace which serves 34 Kinsey Terrace. The existing property and easement at 32a Kinsey Terrace was demolished during the wider Port Hills Mass Movement Remediation programme. The resultant slope face is unstable in the long term and requires a reinforced slope face constructed to provide stability to 32 Kinsey Terrace and a reinstated driveway access easement to 34 Kinsey Terrace.

Contractors are invited to a Site Walkover Meeting on Thursday 6th December 2018 from 8:30 am.

Those wishing to attend must register with the Point of Contact nominated in the ROI document no later than 5:00 pm Tuesday 4th December 2018.

The site is extremely hazardous and access is restricted. Contractors who do not register prior to the Site Meeting date will not be permitted entry.

An RFP will be released to shortlisted supplier/s the week starting 16 January 2019. The intended tender award date is late February 2019, with an expected start date of March 2019 subject to successful uplift of Resource and Building Consents. Please ensure you are able to commence works at the above date as completion of the works in a timely fashion is important to the Principal.
