Manaaki Whenua (MW) has identified a need to replace its current Financial Management Information System (FMIS), as the current system no longer meets our requirements.
MW is adopting a cloud-first approach to its systems acquisition and wishes to move to a Software-as-a-Service solution as part of its overall strategy.
Our FMIS requirements are standard and should be able to be accommodated by mature systems.
As part of its FMIS project, MW is also seeking a Professional Services Automation (PSA) capability, to support the full lifecycle of its Research Projects. Most of the MW science activity is organised through the application of a project approach to manage funded activities. MW is seeking a step change in its ability to manage the lifecycle of Research Projects and is seeking products with asynchronous mobile support and a superior User Experience.
MW does not consider its requirements as complex, and is seeking standard, configurable, solutions. MW expects that products will have sufficient maturity that the process will primarily entail choosing a product and partner for best fit, and adapting the organisation to maximise the use of standard (configurable) features.
We do not want to go through a traditional Requirements gathering exercise, which may inadvertently proscribe existing solutions or lead to unnecessary development costs. We will not consider solutions that would require significant implementation efforts.
