Housing New Zealand (HNZ) is the largest provider of social housing in New Zealand, with a portfolio of over 68,000 properties housing more than 200,000 tenants nationwide.
HNZ undertakes planned maintenance programmes to ensure the healthy condition of the housing assets we look after on behalf of the nation, while verifying its continued ability to meet the needs and expectations of its tenants.
As part of the wider programmes of planned maintenance, HNZ is embarking on a Complex Remediation Programme which has been established to target priority complexes, with work to be performed in HNZ’s financial years (1 July 2014- 30 June 2018).
The programme consists of approximately 145 complexes with more than 10 units, two stories or greater high located predominately in Auckland and Wellington. Properties can be of any age.

This process was advertised as a open Registration of Interest (ROI) via GETS. Through the ROI process Housing New Zealand assessed the responses and shortlisted parties who were subsequently invited to participate in a closed Request For Proposal process.
