In mid January 2019 Housing New Zealand intends to release an open RFP on GETS and Tenderlink which relates to the delivery of 200 properties in the Hutt Valley Retrofit Pilot Programme for 2019 (Retrofit Project).

The overall intent of the Retrofit Project is to increase the number of properties that are warm, dry, and safe by focusing on interventions on existing HNZ properties that will improve the thermal performance of the property and addressing the renewal of significant components to achieve as close to New Build Standards as possible with consequential reduced maintenance.

Housing New Zealand will seek to select a limited number of preferred contractors to provide physical construction works, with a preference for contractors with the capability to retrofit a minimum of 20 properties in the Hutt Valley.
