Introduction
The HBDHB is embarking on providing a new Histology Laboratory into a shell only space in an existing building completed to IL4 in approximate 2004.
HBDHB is seeking the services of an experienced Architectural firm and individuals with expertise in the field of laboratory design to undertake the scoping and design documentation for the project.
Background
The current Histology Laboratory sits within the existing Hospital Laboratory on the first floor of the Clinical Services Building. The Histology Laboratory is the only provider of this service in Hawke’s Bay.
Due to the increased growth of the service the current facility no longer meets the minimum current best practice working space requirements for laboratories.
Project Scope
The project includes the design and fit out of the laboratory, offices, seminar room, breakout rooms and toilets.
Design, Construction, Commissioning and relocation of the service must be completed by December 2017.
The overall size is approximate 337m2.
Scope of Services
It is anticipated that the following services will be required.
Scoping the full project
Preliminary design
Detailed design and specifications,
Building consent documentation specification,
Assist in the appointment of other consultants
Services Engineer
Fire Engineer
Structural if required
Participation in the assessment of the building contractors offers.
