In order to effectively manage wildlife, The Department of Conservation requires diagnosis of the cause of death of threatened species. The Director-General of the Department is seeking Registrations of Interest (Responses) from suppliers with capacity and capability to provide the National Wildlife Pathology Services described in Section 3 of this Registration of Interest (ROI) consisting of necropsy (gross and histopathological examination) of up to 400 threatened species per annum, a written report for each case including interpretation of results relevant to species conservation management, storage and retrieval of data in a database, storage and curation of tissue samples for future disease diagnosis, pathology training, and quarterly summary reporting.
