The works cover the implementation of mitigation measures on Dickey’s Flat Track, Mangakino Pack Track, Waiorongomai – Low Level Track, Wharawhara Tramway Track, Upper Waitawheta Track, Waipapa Track, Waitengaue to Upper Waitawheta Track, Waitengaue Stream Track, Lindemann to Cashmore Track, Lindemanns Loop Track and Hakarimata Summit Track; all of them included in the Tauranga and Waikato DOC district.

These tracks are affected of at risk of being affected by Kauri Dieback caused by Phytophthora taxon agathidicida (PA), a fungus-like disease that can kill kauri trees of any age.

The general mitigation measures covered within this contract include track formation with aggregate crowned or monoslope surfacing, cellular confined bark/aggregate track and aggregate surfacing, timber boxed steps, low and high boardwalks, staircases and small timber platform as shown on the Required Work Schedule and other different documents included in the contract.The works cover the implementation of mitigation measures on Dickey’s Flat Track, Mangakino Pack Track, Waiorongomai – Low Level Track, Wharawhara Tramway Track, Upper Waitawheta Track, Waipapa Track, Waitengaue to Upper Waitawheta Track, Waitengaue Stream Track, Lindemann to Cashmore Track, Lindemanns Loop Track and Hakarimata Summit Track; all of them included in the Tauranga and Waikato DOC district.
