This RFP relates to the purchase of a range of staff and prisoner related programmes in the areas of first aid, health and safety and vocational training. All programmes must be made up of NZQA unit standards.

The required services break into two landscapes; staff and prisoner training, each with distinct requirements. However, a given response may be for one or more training programmes in either landscape and for one or more sites or regions – allowing national responses, regional responses and individual prison based responses.

This procurement covers two landscapes across a range of training areas. These are first aid and fire safety for staff, and first aid, health & safety and vocational training for prisoners. Key outputs are trained prisoners and staff obtaining skills and achieving licenses and unit standards.

The Department intends to upload a draft outcome agreement for this RFP on or before 29-Jul-16.

2. Services delivered via the contracts established using this procurement will be delivered to various sites across New Zealand.

5. An open market RFP procurement process was used and no exemptions were sought or granted.
