Overview

After reviewing our initial one-year trial contractor panel, we are looking to extend this agreement for an additional two years. In doing this, we are looking to make some minor changes, particularly to the categories of work.
What we need
The Environment Canterbury Parks team require a variety of services throughout the year. These can range from very small works to some of our larger more significant projects. The location for these works are primarily focused in the Ashley/Rakahuri River and the Waimakariri River Regional Parks, however we do undertake works from time to time in other parts of Canterbury such as Lake Tekapo and a section of the Little River Rail Trail. The purpose of this Registration of Interest (RoI) is to seek out suppliers who are interested in joining a panel through which requests for quotes on small to medium works will be sent to. The panel that will result from the RoI will ensure the works that are undertaken are distributed in a fair yet competitive manner whilst expanding the capabilities of our suppliers.
We are looking for reliable and efficient suppliers who have a proven track record in workmanship as well as health and safety.
What’s important to us
That all suppliers have an equal opportunity to bid for works through a fair and transparent process.
Why should you bid?
The majority of small to medium sized work undertaken by parks will be put to the panel, larger works are more likely to follow the tender process where members of the panel are also encouraged to submit a tender.
A bit about us
The Parks team are based in Kainga and oversee the Waimakariri and Ashley/Rakahuri River Regional Parks as well as some other smaller areas around Canterbury. The team are in charge of ensuring that the regional parks and all the assets within are maintained to a high standard. These assets include but are not limited to; roads, tracks, gates, fences, bollards, toilets, signs and biodiversity sites. Throughout the year we require a variety of supplier services to assist with the maintenance and development of the assets we own.
