This procurement is part of the earthquake remedial/upgrade works to be undertaken on the central campus of Christchurch hospital.

The work is based at the Canterbury Health Labs site and concerns the stairway and panels around the area designated Stair 4. The full height exterior panel removal is to address their earthquake prone nature and the structural and seismic works to the stairs themselves is in order to improve their performance in case of a seismic event.

The work is to be undertaken in a busy, highly sensitive live environment which will need to have its service maintained throughout the duration of the work.
