Over the past few years there has been little on-going maintenance of hard surfaces within the park network in Christchurch City Council's jurisdiction. This has meant there are now packages of work to renew and repair a range of hard surfaces within the network. Surfaces have been identified from the parks asset management data collected with a focus on surfaces that require improvements in asset ratings.

There are multiple NZS 3910 Contracts available for a term of 3 years.

The Contract includes packages of work which range in value for neighbourhood parks, sports parks, garden and heritage parks, cemeteries, and Hagley Park, for work covering:
• Construction of pedestrian tracks and paths: Asphalt, Concrete and Gravel/chip Surfaces.
• Construction of sports courts e.g Tennis Courts
• Construction of carparks: Asphalt, Chip Seal, and Gravel Surfaces

A tender will be released in early May 2019 and a Supplier Briefing will take place approx. two weeks following.
