Auckland Rail Network High Level Infrastructure Review

This notification is to advise all interested suppliers of the upcoming open contest RFP for the Auckland Rail Network High Level Infrastructure Review, which is expected to be released via GETS.govt.nz on Friday 21st December 2018.
The procurement will be to provide professional services for the delivery of Asset Management, Programming, and Business Case Writing in relation to the Auckland Rail Network. Specifically, Auckland Transport is looking for a consultant to:

1. Undertake a review of the current specification and condition of rail assets, maintenance standards and maintenance plans for such assets and provide an assessment as to whether such specifications and standards are fit for
purpose for delivering the service and patronage task of the Auckland Rail network for the future.
2. Present its findings in draft form to the Auckland Transport Board, Auckland Transport management and selected representatives of KiwiRail, CAF, Transdev Auckland and the New Zealand Transport Agency.
3. Prepare a Single Stage Business Case, in accordance with New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) procedures and requirements to support an application for funding to deliver the programme of works emerging from the review.

The following items are not in scope:

• Review of the detailed specifications and standards related to the proposed CRL tunnel and system (other than proposed track and signalling as it relates to existing infrastructure.
• Invasive inspections of network assets.
• Physical Works.

Submissions are expected to close on Monday 4th February 2019.
