366-17-201-AC Whau River Shared Path Bridge Construction – Advance Notice

Auckland Transport (AT) is intending to build a shared path bridge directly north of KiwiRail’s existing bridge over the Whau River, between Portage Road and Arran Street, New Lynn.
The shared path bridge is required as part of the overall New Lynn to Avondale Shared Path project which constitutes the development of a 2.9 kilometre section of the Auckland Cycle Network, located between the New Lynn Metropolitan Centre and the future State Highway (SH20) Waterview Shared Path.

It is AT’s intention to go to market in January 2017 with a Request for Tender (RFT). The RFT will be advertised on the Auckland Transport E-Tendering Portal: Government Electronic Tender Service (GETS): www.gets.govt.nz. Main Contractors must be prequalified for AT’s Construction Category AT3B – Structures.
